Wow! Can you believe that we are celebrating 25 years as Canadian Construction Women in BC! We began in 1981 with a dynamic team lead by Anna Maharajh with a vision of promoting construction as a viable career option to women in BC. Today, we are as strong as ever with an increasing number of women entering the construction workforce. Our membership is the strongest it has been and our Corporate Membership is leading the way in promoting the women in your organizations to excel by participating in our programs. In 2006,

• Look forward to exciting training opportunities and knowledge sharing and empower yourself by learning positive networking skills that will prove to be valuable in every aspect of your career.
• Look forward to exciting tours of job-sites under construction and learn how to add ten new stories to the top of a fully occupied downtown high-rise building.
• Look forward to an updated website design in 2006 and increase your level of personal safety, career development and construction know-how.

We are planning special events this year to mark our 25th anniversary. We would like to acknowledge all of the women who have participated in the CCW and served on the Board of Directors over the past twenty five years. A big thank-you goes to Marg Latham who took on the role of renewing the CCW two years ago.
