Kinetic Construction Ltd. has successfully completed hundreds of construction projects, employing a variety of project delivery methods. From their offices in Victoria, Vancouver, and Courtenay, Kinetic employs about 100 people currently constructing over 15 projects with an overall value of $85 Million. They operate as Construction Managers, Project Managers, Design-Build Contractors, and General Contractors.

They pride themselves in their cooperative approach, professional attitude, and excellent communication skills which has enable them to convert their clients' plans into successfully completed projects. Did you know? Kinetic Construction is a employee-owned company with a broad base of employee ownership. Six long-term employees have purchased shares in Kinetic Construction, a Victoria based contractor with additional offices in Vancouver and Courtenay. These new shareholders joined this existing company shareholders to increase the number of employee shareholders to twelve (12.) They believe their employees are Kinetic's biggest asset. It’s the people at Kinetic that make it a great place to work.
In the fall of 2014, Kinetic celebrated 30 years in business. They have grown from a two-person operation that started in the home of founder Bill Gyles and his wife Darlene, to one that employs more than 115 people across southern B.C.
Later in 2014, Katy Fairley, Kinetic’s Business Development Manager was presented with the Outstanding Woman in Construction Award by the VRCA. Ms. Failey was recognized for establishing “Women in Construction” a group that meets monthly to provide networking and professional development opportunities for women in construction.
Kinetic has both the experience working on LEED projects as well as their in-house expertise to assist any client in achieving certification within a given budget. Kinetic has worked on a variety of LEED projects with several different project teams, contributing at both pre-construction and construction phases. They have several LEED accredited professionals on staff, and pride themselves on being a reliable resource on any project.
Their LEED projects include schools, post-secondary buildings, operations centres, multi-unit residential buildings, and offices. They are currently constructing three LEED projects, with three additional projects awaiting certification.
Kinetic is currently working on "The Promenade", a 52 unit, 4 storey apartment building. Construction started in October 2014 on an underutilized 0.7 acre lot adjacent to the Ruth King Elementary School in growing Langford BC. and on what will be the future home of the new King Lasik building; a new high tech laser eye surgery and medical complex. King Lasik will occupy the third floor, while the first and second floors are being occupied by additional tenants.
